WordPress
Add Formlyx forms to WordPress.
Build the form in Formlyx, then place it on a WordPress page with the Formlyx Form block or a shortcode. Connect the site with OAuth. Formlyx stores the submissions.
Formlyx Forms 1.0.0 is installed from this ZIP. It is not distributed in the WordPress.org plugin directory.
See Formlyx in WordPress
The walkthrough shows a site where Formlyx Forms is already active. A new site starts by installing and activating the plugin, then connecting a Formlyx account.
What the plugin does
Gutenberg block
Add the Formlyx Form block to any page or post. The editor shows the form you selected. The live form appears on the published page.
Shortcode
Use [formlyx id="FORM_ID"] where a block is not available. An optional theme attribute sets the embedded form's appearance.
OAuth connection
Settings → Formlyx opens a Formlyx sign-in. You approve access there. WordPress does not ask for an API key or your Formlyx password.
Any published form
Choose any form you have published in Formlyx. The picker lists published forms after the site is connected. A public form can also be embedded by its form ID.
Form appearance
Set how the embedded form looks: auto, light, dark, inherit, or unstyled. That setting styles the Formlyx form. It does not change the WordPress theme.
Submissions stay in Formlyx
Visitors send the form to Formlyx and see the confirmation you configured. WordPress does not store those entries as posts.
[formlyx id="FORM_ID" theme="auto"]Install and get started
WordPress 6.7 or newer and PHP 7.4 or newer. The site needs HTTPS. HTTP works only on localhost.
- Download Formlyx Forms 1.0.0 (ZIP).
- In WordPress, open Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the ZIP, and install it.
- Activate Formlyx Forms on the Plugins screen.
- Open Settings → Formlyx and choose Connect to Formlyx. Sign in or create an account, then approve access. WordPress never asks you to paste an API key.
- Edit a page, add the Formlyx Form block, and select any published form. Or paste
[formlyx id="FORM_ID"]. - Choose the form appearance, then publish the page.
The form picker needs a connection. A published form that Formlyx allows the public to embed can also be placed with its form ID, without connecting the site.
